ABSTRACT
Dr. Gary D. Sides, Senior Research Leader at Battelle, has over 30 years of experience in the development, manufacture, and use of automated monitoring systems and related sampling equipment for the detection of airborne toxic organic chemicals in the workplace and at remote sites. In this presentation, Dr. Sides will describe some of the instrumentation and techniques that he has developed and applied to the detection of low-levels of chemical-warfare agents and related compounds during the past 20 years. This presentation will include recommendations that have proven successful in the optimization of the performance of such systems.
