Jim has worked in the environmental testing industry since 1993, both in the commercial laboratory sector and as a contractor to the EPA.
Jim is currently Manager of TechLaw’s EPA ESAT Region 5 contract, a position he has held since 2006. His background includes more than seven years of technical and management experience on the ESAT Region 5 contract and more than 20 years of analytical laboratory operations and management experience. Jim supports the Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery (ORCR) in the editing and updating of SW-846 methods and participates in the work groups that facilitate the SW-846 updates.
As the Region 5 ETM, he oversees chemists and field scientists in a variety of technical support tasks for the EPA in Region 5 Superfund as a contractor. Jim has an extensive background as a SVOC/VOC GC/MS and GC-ECD/FID chemist. Some of his work includes the outfitting and deployment of a mobile laboratory to conduct onsite semivolatiles, volatiles and PCB/Pesticide analysis on Superfund sites.
