Patsy Root
Patsy Root, senior Regulatory Affairs specialist at IDEXX Labs, Inc. Patsy has been with IDEXX for almost 8 years.
Patsy is current Chair of the Environmental Laboratory Advisory Board (ELAB), vice-chair of the TNI Microbiology Expert Committee, Chair of the AOAC Water and Wastewater Microbiology committee, member of the TNI Microbiology FoPT subcommittee, part participant in Standard Methods for Water and Wastewater and a member of both AWWA and CWWA.
Patsy has her Masters in Biochemistry and has worked in R&D laboratory, clinical lab settings and 2 SBIR funded start-up companies. In her current role, Patsy is involved in working with Regulatory groups worldwide to attain product approvals, writing or revising various industry standards and working with Federal and State government to promote laboratory best practices.
Patsy will be speaking today on her recent AOAC publication, development of Quality Assurance and Quality Control measures for Federal compliance programs.
