Randall Querry
Randall V. Querry serves as the Accreditation Manager for Life Sciences with A2LA. He assists in the daily accreditation operations and is responsible for overseeing the Accreditation Services Officers responsible for laboratories in the Environmental, Chemical, Food Chemical, Food Microbiology, and Biosafety fields. Querry has conducted management system assessments to ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO Guide 34 and has evaluated other assessors in this role. He also performs peer evaluation of accrediting bodies to ISO/IEC 17011. Querry has also served as an instructor, providing training in RMP and PTP accreditation requirements. Attendees in these courses included: technical assessors, international accreditation body staff, quality managers and technical managers from current and potential RMP and PTP applicants for accreditation. Querry has been employed with A2LA since October 1998.
Mr. Querry worked as a quality assurance inspector for the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) located at NIST, from June 1990 to May 1994; where he conducted inspections of construction material testing laboratories and assisted in preparing PT samples. He completed over 100 laboratory inspections throughout the United Sates.
Querry was employed in the environmental consulting field; most recently as an environmental scientist in the Due Diligence group for Dames & Moore, Inc. located in Bethesda, Maryland. His responsibilities included the conduct of environmental site assessments for commercial real estate transactions, groundwater and soil sampling, and asbestos and lead-based paint surveys. Routine activities involved writing proposals, interpreting laboratory results, air photo analysis, report preparation, and client contact.
Mr. Querry holds a bachelor’s degree in Geo-Environmental Studies from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
