Courtney Thomas
Courtney Thomas is a PhD Candidate at the University of Texas at Austin and works with Dr. Danny D. Reible to design and implement SPME with PDMS passive sampling methodologies for monitoring remediation efforts at contaminated sediment sites.
She received the degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, a second degree in Mathematics and a minor in Chemistry in May 2010. In December 2011, she graduated the Environmental and Water Resource Engineering Master’s Degree Program at the University of Texas at Austin and began her PhD work at the University of Texas at Austin in the Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering department.
She has won multiple professional development awards throughout her time at the University of Texas at Austin, including the AnchorQEA Scholarship in 2011 and a SETAC Student Travel Grant in 2013 to present her work at SETAC North America's 34th Annual Meeting in Nashville, TN.
