ABSTRACT

Aromatic compounds are resonance stable structure and have long half life period. It is important to have a stationary phase that recognizes difference in aromaticity to bring in the critical resolution. In this study, we have explored GC column selectivity that provides enhanced separation of Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds, and Phthalates. While PAH facilitates environmental monitoring, Phthalate compounds are continuously monitored in packaged food. In addition to PAH, tough components like Semivolatile analytes in EPA-8270 were explored on this new selectivity. The optimal selectivity of the stationary phase as well as the unique dimensions provided fast analysis and enhanced resolution for critical pairs.
