Joe Konschnik
Joe Konschnik is RESTEK’s Business Development Manager for the environmental and food & beverage markets. In his current role he focused on brand recognition and accelerating revenue generation in his assigned target markets. Seeking the voice of the customer (VOC) and markets (VOM) for all product lines globally are also priorities. Mr. Konschnik earned his B.S. Degree in Public Health/Environmental Health from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He also completed graduate level classes at UC San Diego and UC Irvine in southern California. He is in his fifteenth year as an employee-owner with RESTEK.
Joe spent the first 19 years of his career working for environmental laboratories before joining RESTEK in 2001. During his laboratory career as an analytical chemist, Mr. Konschnik gained experience in environmental sample collection, preparation and analysis performing EPA wet chemistry, metals, GC and GC/MS methods while employed by both government and private entities. His experience at the bench earned him various roles as laboratory supervisor, department manager, technical director, business unit director, sales director and general manager in three of the nation’s largest environmental laboratory services companies during the industry’s growth years.
Mr. Konschnik has been an invited speaker at numerous events on a variety of topics in the US, Mexico, China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Joe has also been an instructor for RESTEK’s GC, GC/MS and environmental seminars. He has chaired and instructed for courses on modern gas chromatography and whole air sampling topics.
Joe is an active member of TNI-NELAC, ACIL, AIHA, ASTM is a past and current session chair for technical sessions NEMC/EMS annually. He is a steering committee member for NEMC, and a board member of ILI, ACIL’s Independent Laboratory Institute. He currently serves as secretary for the Sampling and Laboratory Analysis Committee(SLAC) for AIHA and is a Professional Development Course instructor. He has been awarded the Preston Millar Award from Environmental Science Section of ACIL in 2013, and Food Science Section of ACIL in 2014.
