ABSTRACT
The overall process of collecting and reporting quality data when investigating the vapor intrusion pathway has become a difficult highway to navigate. This presentation will focus on clearing the landscape to facilitate a practical assessment strategy. A successful strategy will include best practices that lead to the development of a quality data plan and analysis, avoid costly mistakes, and minimize risk. This strategy begins with understanding the available regulatory guidance, sampling equipment, and analytical methodologies for the various matrices. This foundation, paired with appropriate data quality objectives, such as the applicable screening values and data defensibility measures will improve the quality of the assessments being made.
