Carmen Cartisano
Carmen Cartisano is a fourth year PhD. Candidate at the University of Maryland College Park working with Dr. Neil Blough. Her dissertation research is focused on using the optical and chemical properties of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) to investigate its sources and structure in the open ocean. She received a BS in chemistry from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2013. At LSU she conducted research with Dr. Isiah Warner and Dr. Robert Cook. Cartisano also spent a semester conducting research at the Cold Region Research and Engineering Laboratory with Dr. Thomas Douglas as well as a summer in Belgium conducting research at Interuniversity Micro-Electronics Center (IMEC) with Dr. Liesbet Lagae.
