Leah Villegas
Dr. Leah Fohl Villegas is a Scientist for CB&I Federal Services, with twenty years of experience in parasitology. Dr. Villegas has spent the majority of her career developing assays and methods to detect pathogens of economic, environmental, and biomedical importance. Her current work is focused on developing enhancements to EPA Method 1623 for the detection of Cryptosporidium and Giardia parasites in surface water. She also supports drinking water laboratories with Method performance issues. Dr. Villegas develops and implements training for laboratory analysts and certification officers for the Cryptosporidium detection methods.
