ABSTRACT
The purpose of this poster is to provide examples of the tools developed and the lessons learned in the implementation of the Method Detection Limit (MDL) method, Revision 2. Tools include sets of interconnected Excel spreadsheets that validate the MDL, as well as calculate the MDLspike and MDLblank. GCAL’s SOP on detection limit determination improvements is also presented. Lessons learned to date are summarized, including the changing perception on what can be learned from blanks.
