ABSTRACT

This presentation describes efforts at ASTM D19 and Standard Methods (part 4000) to standardize development and validation of new chemistry methods. The effort involves establishing written procedures in collaboration with EPA in an attempt to harmonize difference between EPA and consensus organizations approach. The goal is to ensure that methods developed by these consensus organizations will be accompanied by all necessary data for consideration of approval as CWA methods.
