Karl Jobst
Karl Jobst is a graduate of McMaster University, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada where he obtained his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Some of his thesis work, in the fields organic mass spectrometry and gas-phase ion chemistry, was relevant to the chemistry of interstellar space. However, following this, Karl pursued more Earth-oriented studies as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Environment Canada. He is presently a Scientist at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and holds adjunct status at McMaster University. Karl is currently interested in the development and application of sophisticated mass spectrometry and (multidimensional) chromatography techniques capable of tackling challenging (non-targeted) analytical problems.
