Dr. Eduardo Mateus
Eduardo Mateus holds a BSc (1991) in Applied Chemistry (Biotechnology) and a PhD (2009) in Environmental Sciences. He is since 1996 a Research Assistant at the Department of Sciences and Environmental Engineering of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology from the New University of Lisbon (FCT-NOVA; Portugal), where he supports and supervises research projects, undergraduate and postgraduate research and teaching. His current research interests focus on the study and development of sample preparation and analytical methodologies mainly using chromatographic techniques (e.g. SPE, SPME, GC, GCxGC, HPLC and GC/MS) to be applied to the characterization of complex biological and environmental matrices, Environmental and pollutants analysis, Chemical Ecology and remediation processes monitorization.
