ABSTRACT
Speakers from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Water (OW) and Office of Environmental Compliance and Assurance (OECA) will provide program overviews including technical and legal requirements to effectively comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the Clean Water Act (CWA). Discussion will include delegated roles and oversight responsibilities within the regulatory framework, use of EPA approved methods, required sample handling and method quality control criteria, and vulnerabilities for enforcement action for non-compliance with mandated protocols.
