ABSTRACT
EPA establishes National Primary Drinking Water Standards (NPDWS) to protect public health and ensure the highest quality water is available to the public. The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) establishes the statutory authority for the program with regulatory requirements defined in 40 CFR Part 141. The presentation will focus on program roles and responsibilities, the analytical method approval process, quality control requirements to comply with regulations and effective oversight measures.
