ABSTRACT

Monitoring for emerging contaminants of concern, ranging from legionella, cyanotoxins, to pharmaceuticals and pesticides, will require instruments not routinely used in environmental laboratories. This presentation is an overview of technology that enables accurate identification of micro-organisms, and trace analysis by triple quadrupole LC and GC mass spectrometry. Examples will be presented.
