Harry McCarty
Dr. Harry B. McCarty is a Senior Scientist in the Science and Engineering Group at CSC, in Alexandria, VA. He has a B.S. in Environmental Science from Rutgers and Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island. His laboratory research experience ranges from investigations of the fate and transport of pollutants in the marine environment, through calcification processes in stony corals, to studies of the diagenesis of petroleum.
Since 1986, he has supported various EPA offices and programs, including the Contract Laboratory Program, the Effluent Guidelines Program, the Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water, the Office of Solid Waste, the Great Lakes National Program Office, and EPA’s homeland security efforts.
