ABSTRACT
Single Quadrupole ICP-MS is widely used in the environmental laboratory to analyze a variety of sample types to include, drinking water, surface water, wastewater, and digested samples, such as soils and industrial sludges. The current methods are often used for non-typical, or highly contaminated samples that may pose greater risk for biased results if complex interferences are not effectively mitigated. In this session, we will explore the use of advanced and non-typical collision/reaction cell conditions to mitigate unknown and complex interferences that are often encountered in the environmental laboratory.
