ABSTRACT
Tecta-PDS manufacturers a unique fully automated microbiological detection system. The Tecta-PSD technology is a directed enzyme-substrate method combined with a polymer partition technology which isolates the optical detection path from the water sample. A presence and absence result can be derived as well as quantitative results. The dynamic range is < 1 to > 108. This method detects the presence of E. coli, Total Coliforms, Fecal Coliforms, and Enterococcus. Due to the polymer partitioned optical path, results are insensitive to turbidity and color. The Tecta-PDS method allows for no fixed incubation delays in getting results. Results from test samples can be gained in as little as 2hrs up to 18hrs. The technology is EPA Approved under the Safe Drinking Water Act for E. coli and Total Coliforms.
