ABSTRACT
ASTM D19, EPA, and standard methods often require a verification of pH before analysis, during an analytical step, or as a preservative. The methods do not usually specify or provide instruction on how an analyst should verify pH. This guide could be referenced in existing and future ASTM methods or referenced by laboratories. The intent is that all laboratories use consistent procedures per method.
