Susie Dai
Susie Dai is the Associate Director of the State Hygienic Lab at University of Iowa, the Director of the Environmental Health Division. Dai previously served as a Research Associate Professor for the Office of the Texas State Chemist with a joint appointment to the Texas A&M University Department of Veterinary Pathobiology in the Veterinary School. Susie Dai obtained her PhD in Chemistry from Duke University with additional training in Biomedical Engineering. She then conducted her post-doc researches in molecular therapeutics at the Scripps Research Institute in Florida and environmental microbial community study at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Department of Energy, Tennessee. Her background focuses in food safety, environmental monitoring, biomonitoring and human exposure, systems biology and proteomics, regulatory science, biotechnologies, and risk assessment.
