ABSTRACT
EPA’s Office of Science and Technology will briefly summarize current Clean Water Act (CWA) method projects, future Methods Update Rules, and discuss current priorities for future method projects. A status update will be given for current EPA-funded laboratory validation activities in support of the CWA. These include, but are not limited to, a low-resolution GC-MS select ion monitoring method for PCB congeners, continuous monitoring efforts, microbiology method validation, review of Alternate Test Procedures, PFAS method efforts, and other collaborative efforts. EPA will review the content of the Methods Update Rule proposed in October 2019, and anticipated projects for fiscal years 2021 and 2022.
