ABSTRACT
The Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ GC mass spectrometer provides excellent quantitative capabilities. It is not only capable of achieving regulatory required LOQ levels but also provides opportunities for retrospective analysis of chemical entities not known at the time of analysis. Combining the high-resolution accurate-mass capabilities of an Orbitrap analyzer with powerful acquisition and targeted processing capabilities of Thermo Scientific™ ChromeleonTM CDS software provides users with easy, confident, and compliant data generation. In this presentation, the analysis of PAHs and PCBs will be discussed with details on sample preparation, instrument method setup/operation, and results obtained for the targeted analysis of 45 compounds including 16 EPA PAHs.
