Francoise Chauvin
Dr. Françoise Chauvin is the Chief of Laboratory Operations for New York City DEP’s Bureau of Wastewater Treatment. Her duties include overseeing the six laboratories that support New York City’s 14 wastewater resource recovery facilities and supporting implementation of new projects. Dr. Chauvin has over thirty years of experience in biochemistry, molecular biology and analytical chemistry, in academia, biotechnology and in environmental laboratories. She previously served in The NELAC Institute's Chemistry Expert Committee, as well as in the Environmental Laboratory Advisory Board (ELAB) for EPA. Dr. Chauvin received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry for the Université Lyon I, France.
