Molly Isbell

Dr. Isbell is the Business Area Director for Quality Assurance and Statistical Science at Signature Science, LLC in Austin TX. Dr. Isbell has been with Signature Science since 2001, where she has served in various roles including Statistical Science Group Leader, Project Manager, and Principal Investigator. Prior to working for Signature Science, Dr. Isbell served as an environmental statistician at Radian International from 1993 to 2001.

Dr. Isbell earned a Ph.D. in Statistical Science from Southern Methodist University, a M.S. in Statistical Science from Iowa State University, and a B.A. in Mathematics and English from Texas Lutheran College. She is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer, an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, and an accredited Project Management Professional.

Dr. Isbell has been applying statistical science to analytical laboratory quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) applications since 1993. Since 1997, her primary focus has been on applications associated with the collection and analysis of samples associated with chemical and biological threats. Since 2010, Dr. Isbell has served as the Signature Science Program Manager for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) BioWatch QA Program. Prior to this position, Dr. Isbell played a lead role in the development and implementation of a comprehensive QA Program on behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD), and served as the Principal Investigator for that effort from 2003 to 2010. Dr. Isbell continues to serve in a senior advisor and review capacity for the JPEO-CBD QA Program as well as the National Guard Bureau Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team QA Program.

In addition to providing technical leadership and support for analytical QA and QC efforts, Dr. Isbell has served as the Project Manager, Principal Investigator, or technical lead on numerous projects related to laboratory and field testing and validation of environmental samplers, sensors, and sampling strategies
