JoAnn Boyd
JoAnn Boyd, BS/MBA, is the quality assurance manager for Southwest Research Institute Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Division. She is the management representative for the ISO 9001:2000 Quality System, chairs the Division Quality Council, and is the division representative for the SwRI Quality Council. Ms. Boyd has Lead Auditor training for ISO 9001:2000, ISO 17025, and NQA-1 requirements. Ms. Boyd has extensive experience in establishing and coordinating quality programs such as ISO 9001:2000, ISO Guide 17025 and 17020, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in support of pharmaceuticals, and a number of government regulatory quality programs. She served as Chairman of the Accreditation Process Committee for Institute for National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation (INELA) in support of NELAP. She is currently on the Consensus Standards Board, Field Monitory, Policy, and Laboratory Standards Accreditation Committees with The NELAC Institute. Ms. Boyd is currently Chairman of the Beyond Compliance Specialty Section committee for the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA). Ms Boyd has extensive knowledge and experience in establishing quality programs, data validation, laboratory and field audits and surveillances, and developing and performing training programs.
