Kristin Favela
Dr. Kristin Favela is a Senior Research Scientist in the Environmental Engineering and Monitoring Section within the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Division at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas. She has been with Southwest Research Institute for 5 years, and was previously with Tate & Lyle where she led programs associated with the idenitifcation and quantification of trace substances in food products. Dr. Favela's main area of expertise is the application of specialized mass spectrometric methods to solve complex problems in the areas of forensics, enviromental monitoring, food chemistry, and bioanalytical chemistry. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry at University of Arizona in 2005 and her B.S. in Chemistry, from Creighton University in 2000.
